Every year on the 14th of February there are hearts, cupid, ballons and chocolate are thrown  everywhere you can't go anywhere without seeing red this and pink that. But have you ever thought of how all of this came about? what is the history? Some sources believe that the catholic church decided to christianize the actually pagan celebration of Lupercalia , a fertility festival dedicated to Fanus a roman god. Is this holiday as sweet and lovely as we really think? According to one source, ''members of the Luperci, a group of several roman priest',would come together at a sacred cave where Romulus and Remus the founders of Rome and would sacrifice a goat for fertility, and a dog for purification'' (History of valentines day) .      Sports have been around for centuries, There have been debates to what was the first sport recorded in history. Evidence from britannica shows that wrestling dated back 15,300 years ago. Paintings and illustrations were found in caves of men in the stance from 7000 B.C in Mongolia and 6000 B.C in Libya (britannica.com/ wrestling/sports). There has been millions upon millions of inventions invented by different brilliant people, that we would be no where in life without today. Like the light bulb we were always taught in school that Thomas Edison invented it but in reality it wasn't him he perfected it. Though it was actually 20 other scientists who had different patents on it, but none of there were successful as Edison's they tried but faced many different obstacles. Edison deserves to be credited as the inventor of the light bulb, because he perfected the light bulb by finding the right materials and doing more research. He did what others couldn't, by making it commericially successful and mass producing it.  Many men tried to work on the light bulb but failed. According to ''Thomas Edison did not invent the light bulb'', English man Humphrey Davy showed his electric lamp invention to the royal society and the light burned out so quickly. Joseph Swan began experimenting with differen
